Report on the Inauguration of IDU’s Skill Acquisition Programme

By the grace of God, the inauguration of our skill acquisition program took place last week Thursday at Bodija. I would like to use this opportunity to appreciate the Chairman of Ibadan Initiative Project (IIP), Elder Adisa for his presence and wise words of admonition to the present students that day.

I spoke to the students and the trainers present on the reason IDU organized the skill acquisition program, the duration of the program, and what IDU expects from the students.

We had in attendance that day students, trainers and the coordinator of the program. There were fruitful interactions between the trainers and the students. We agreed at the program that the trainings would start on Monday. I have gotten a report from the coordinator that some of the students have been deployed to the trainers and some have actually begun the training today. We have 16 students altogether and they will be deployed to their respective trainers accordingly. We will keep us informed as the program progresses.
