IDU NATIONAL Commends Houston Chapter on Amala Day Celebration…

On behalf of the National Executive Committee of Ibadan Descendants’ Union, USA, I rejoice with the Houston Chapter of IDU for the successful hosting of this year’s Amala Day which took place on Saturday, 16th September, 2023.

Amala is a delicacy which is a symbol of Ibadan’s strength, fineness, and good taste. It remains our prized local delicacy which has found its rightful place in the global stage by our unrelenting propagation of its richness.

Therefore, we at the National Secretariat of IDU commends Houston Chapter for its unwavering efforts aimed at showcasing Ibadan culture, pride and legacy at all times. We appreciate the efforts and cooperation of the Chapter’s Executive Committee and the entire members for pooling their hard-earned financial, material, and time resources together towards sustaining the richness of Ibadan culture at the global stage.

It is our hope that Houston Chapter, in conjunction with other chapters and the National Secretariat, will continue to do its best to ensure that our dear Ibadan continues to reach for greater heights of peace, progress, and development.

Once again, we congratulate you all on the successful hosting of Amala Day as I pray for longer life, good health, and prosperity for all members even as we look forward to having more events that will be beneficial to Ibadan and its people.
