On behalf of the National Secretariat of Ibadan Descendants’ Union – USA, I, the National President extend profound appreciation to Florida Chapter of IDU for successful donations of 200 eyeglasses and free medical checks for 300 people from the eleven local governments in Ibadan.

The event took place at Daylan Event Centre at Ijokodo and it recorded a huge success as many residents suffering from one eye defect or the other but who did not have the financial means to go for treatment were able to access free treatment and free eyeglasses. I commend the executive and the entire members of IDU, Florida Chapter, for not forgetting their Ibadan roots by way of touching the lives of Ibadan Natives at home in a profound way.

Most especially, I thank the coordinators of the event which include Dr Taiwo Emiola (Natl Iyalode), Elder Bolaji Adisa (Chairman IIP), Alhaji Moruf Emiola, Mr Hakeem Aremu, and Mr Ayodeji Jinadu for ensuring that the event went on smoothly without any hitches. I am using this opportunity to call on other chapters of IDU to also give back to people at home and to share their achievements with the National Body for acknowledgement, recognition and record purpose.

Once again, I appreciate IDU Florida Chapter for their thoughtfulness in caring for their people at home.
